These are the recommended steps to becoming a new member. However, new members are welcomed throughout the academic year. Feel free to stop by any meeting early and talk to our staff!

1. Informationals

Informationals are a great way to find out more about what our organization is all about. Fall 2017 informationals are on September 5th at 8:15pm in ETB 1020 and September 6th at 7pm in ETB 1035. If you are unable to attend an informational, you can contact us at cel@cel.tamu.edu for more information about the organization.

2. Applications

CEL is a non-selective organization, but we do have an application so that we can get to know our new members. Please download an application by clicking here, fill it out, and email your completed application to cel@cel.tamu.edu. CEL accepts applications throughout the year, but if possible please submit your application early so it can be processed before the New Engineering Member Orientation (NEMOs). 

3. New Engineering Member Orientations

New Engineering Member Orientations (NEMOs) allow our staff members to get to know new members better and help us match new members to a committee within the organization. This fall, NEMOs dates, times, and location are soon to be determined. Check back here for the details!

4. Begin Attending Meetings and Events

Our meetings are on Monday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the Emerging Technologies Building room 1020. The New Member meeting for Fall 2017 is on September 11th. 

5. Pay Membership Dues

Membership costs $35 a semester or $60 for the academic year. You can pay dues in cash or check at a meeting (see Grant Decker) or online by clicking here. On the website, choose whether you want to pay for a semester or a year, and then complete the payment process. Please note that there is a two dollar discount if you pay in cash or by check.
